in my family....
don't they call them

new years babies
since it is the 9th month??

my sister would have been 44 on the 18th

this year i will being painting something spectacular in the twins room
i'm not sure what..
sounds like they want a mural..

it has been selling fast before i get a chance
which is a good thing!!

i have been moonlighting as a
house flipper,
painter, contractor, carpet taker-outer, grunt cheap labor,
we added a master suite to my farmhouse..
hopefully this will help with resale in this terrible market..
and
will pay off!!
my brother is a contractor
i know
i'm very lucky!!
me.colman.herbie,ruby,lulu, & bing
are staying at his house during the remodel & sale
yep
again
i'm grateful & lucky!!

*** i love a birthday party ***

as long as it's NOT mine!!

not so much because of age..
but i don't like all eyes on me...
i'd rather be in the birthday chorus...
i was maybe...5 in above photo..
this may have been my surprise party where i ran
&
hid in the shower
or
the time i hid under the table at farrels when the drums &
singers marched over to our table!
i was terrible
still am about celebrations like that
BUT
only if it's mine
i love to celebrate with others!

on sunday we celebrated my little niece ellas 5th birthday..
what fun!!
ooooodles of silly little kids ..
i was the face painter ..
until i hired my protege audrey to take over..
she did excellent don't you think??

*** i'm a winner ***

so get this

nancy, dd, windy wu & little miss gwaycee
decided herbie & my goldfish gobbler trick deserved a prize..
yes a prize!!
i personally never win anything..last thing i won was in 1987..
i won a "homer hanky "
basically a twins handkerchief to wave at the world series game..
& it was a random drawing so i didn't have to perform or anything..
just signed up!!
so now nancy & her girls sent me this original pepperidge farm hat..
with little goldfishes on it.... also a yummy dog treat for herbie..
i am so lucky!

so that was a fun good thing that happened!!

today is my dad's birthday..
colman & i went to his favorite pizza place for a late lunch &
ate bagels for breakfast.. he liked bagels too :)
so i tossed kisses to heaven & now
i am feeling exhausted...

one last thing...
i realized this morning that my email was not working right..
i wasn't receiving emails on one of my accounts..
somehow i switched my mail to offline!!
ugh
i caught up with most of you that requested commissions

** my birthday with poo poo ***

so ... we had our big buddy Rocco aka poo poo for a whole week!! it was the greatest.. we all adore him he is such a big lover...

ruby has a crush on him ...she sneaks kisses

then herbie romps into the room & spoils the mood :)


i also turned 40 on Wednesday ... yep the big 4-0 .... i think it was more a big deal for others than it was for me.. i remember when i was a kid i thought of 40 as old.. no more pimples & i could wear high heels .. ..last week i woke up with a big pimple ON MY NOSE.. YIKES! there goes that theory & as for high heels... i rarely wear them & if i do it is for added high if my pants are too long ( i'm only a tad bit over 5ft ) or i have an event to go to .. which is rare ....
i think my friends were a little freaked as i am sorta the first of us to turn & my siblings may be freaked .. i am the youngest of 4 .... but for me .. i'm fine .. my favorite jeans fit ... which i am thrilled about.. my hair is almost all natural .. i stopped coloring it about 2 years ago & i have passed that horrible growing out stage .. or so i think.. ;) and well ... i feel as dopey as i did when i was a teen... but i own it now!!!
not to mention the big sweet saint i got to snuggle with all week when ruby & herbie weren't looking!!
