YUMMMMMMMMMY!!
ok...
so no fudge making today.. i had to make the
poppy-cock!!
i made it for my brothers birthday.. i realized i needed to hurry & get it in the mail.. his b'day is saturday & he lives in los angeles..
if i zoom it off priority in the morning it should make it..
& he will be happy ..

it is my dads recipe.. we found it when we were at his house in august..
i was so excited!! i had never made it before but have watched my dad...

he was the poppy cock king!! he made tons & tons & tons of poppy cock every year & gave it away to EVERYONE for christmas.. & now... i have made it twice.. the first time for the day after his memorial.. we had a celebration for him .. i made this & my mom & i made those crazy gram cracker cookies.. you know the ones..with the powder sugar frosting :) .. he made those with my mom when we were little...
so it was fun to make them with her.. again a treat my brother requested.... a kid favorite
ANYWAY
back to my story... .. candy thermometer was broken so just as it started to thunderstorm outside
& ALL my ingredients were on the stove in pan ...
i was off to get a new one.. 3 stores & an hour later i was home with a thermometer & new pecans & almonds.. i forgot to take them out of the oven when i left & they burnt... whoops!!
but i'm done..
i think andy & colman may have been eating my popcorn while i was away..
this seems extra carmely
